Giulia encourages the students to establish a friendly approach towards their body and helps them to find a personal way to work with it. She believes that yoga asanas are a place to “explore our way into” ourselves by listening deeply and increasing our self awareness. Body, emotions and thoughts weave our sense of identity and our lives. Changing the way we use our bodies has an enormous effect on our whole self. No matter what physical state you start with, yoga improves your general health and attitude to your body.

Giulia´s favourite quote from B.K.S. Iyengar in Light on Life:

“Yoga releases the creative potential of life. It does this by establishing a structure for self realisation, by showing how we can progress along the journey and by opening a sacred vision of the ultimate, of our divine origin and final destiny. The light that yoga sheds on life is something special. It is transformative. It does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.”

Giulia grew up in Italy where she completed her studies in Law. She started practicing yoga as a teenager. She moved to Berlin eight years ago and she worked for cultural and social associations. In addition to teaching yoga, she is an artist and performer at the Music Ashram.
